Peanut Butter Cookies



In a serendipitous unfolding of events and invitations, my post-finals breather perfectly coincided with an excuse to bake.  A lot.  As requested by the hosts, I made a double batch of M&M cookies for a party yesterday, which I didn’t picture on the blog because at this point I know the recipe by heart.  For the Wiggins’ crawfish boil today (my first!), I made peanut butter cookies.  The recipe from the Test Kitchens cookbook is the be-all, end-all, impossible to improve, pitch perfect peanut butter cookie recipe.  And that’s all I have to say about that.

And once again, because I’m the crazy cat lady:  Mirabelle luxuriated in the oven- and sunshine-warmed kitchen on top of a magazine I actually trying to read.  The price we pay for adorableness…
