Today just felt like a scones kind of day, which is strange because I expected it to feel like a yeast bread kind of day. But you have to follow your heart. The recipe for these beauties came from Simply Scones, a book which is awesome because: (1) it’s full of recipes of scones; (2) it was used, and cost $5; (3) I bought it when Booker was visiting and it is thus a constant reminder of a fabulous weekend. These were supposed to be drop scones, but I didn’t read that part of the recipe until I’d taken them out of the oven. Whoops. They are sufficiently delicious as wedges, though, so no serious harm was done.
