Last night Anion and I finally had a free Thursday for our once-traditional dinner + 30 Rock festivities. It’s been a long time coming, so I really wanted to bring it in the dinner department. I think I succeeded. Ashley requested risotto in the least demanding manner possible, and I was happy to oblige. (I’ve also got her into Elvis Costello–I will make a yuppie out of this girl yet.) The dish came out wonderfully. I’m sure it wouldn’t survive a side-by-side taste test with the saffron risotto my stepfather (an Italian chef) made for Christmas dinner, but standing alone, it was pretty darn good. Also, my camera is beloved but it has no macro feature. Sorry.

I am offended by your insinuation that Elvis Costello is yuppie music. 😛
